being an artist

I've been a slacker on the blog front. Life has been busy and chaotic over the last months and I have been tired! However,  I started drawing at a very young age, basically my whole life. I grew up in a suburb of a city in Switzerland and was blessed to have a family that supported me in everything I did - and still do.

Anyway, or the last three years I am totally into pencil and graphite - kind of hyper realistic -  drawings. It challenges me on another level and I'm planning to do a lot more "making-of"  and "how to do" posts on this blog in the future.

Balancing my fulltime job, life, friends, sport and my “career” as an artist isn’t always easy. Since I left University and started my job as a mechanical engineer, it has definitely become easier to find time to draw and paint. Between custom drawings and custom projects I’m currently working on a new series. If everything goes as planned, I will have my next big exhibition at the end of 2016 or early 2017 – I’m very excited about it!

Back in 2015 I created AS Collection – it’s my Onlineshop for Phone Cases and Prints / Original Drawings. It’s kind of my platform to sell my art.

Oh and hey, check out the new design on www.andrina-strasser.ch !!
